Integrations - Zapier
Integrate your event with external platforms and learn how to link your event with Zapier
Intelligo can Integrate with external platforms to either 'push' new users in or 'send' registrations out. Currently, at the time of writing, we integrate fully with Zapier.
Zapier allows bi-directional communication with thousands of apps. You can read more here.
To get started, you will need a Zapier account.
In Intelligo, head over to 'Advanced' and then 'Integrations' and click on 'Configure' under the Zapier card.
Next, open a new tab and head to Zapier and click on 'My Apps'
Next click 'Add Connection' and search for 'Intelligo' in the list of apps.
Click on the Intelligo app and you will see a popup window asking for a token
You now need a token from Intelligo, head back to the Zapier configuration page of Intelligo that we navigated to earlier.
Click 'Create Token' and give the token a name, something that will remind you what the token is being used for.
Then click 'Create', and you will now be able to copy the token to your clipboard. For security reasons this token will not be shown again so do not close the popup until you have finished configuring the connection in Zapier.
Go ahead, copy the token, head back to the Zapier popup window, paste the token in and click 'Yes Continue'
Zapier will authenticate with Intelligo and your new connection will appear in the list
You have now connected Intelligo with Zapier and are ready to make your first 'Zap'.
Click on the 'Zaps' menu item and then 'Make a New Zap'
We will now give a very quick tutorial on how to make a basic 'Zap' which will setup a 'Trigger' from Intelligo to 'Slack'
You will first see the below screen and this is where you configure your 'Trigger'.
We will find Intelligo in the list, select it and then choose the trigger event as 'User Added'. This means whenever a user is added to the event in Intelligo it will 'Trigger' this 'Zap' in Zapier.
Click Continue and choose from the account dropdown the connection we made earlier and click continue.
Click 'Test Trigger' and then choose a user from the dropdown which Zapier will use as 'Test Data' later on. Click continue again.
Now we need to choose what happens when the 'Zap' gets triggered by Intelligo.
We are going to choose 'Slack' for this example and select the action to send a channel message.
Next, we have to choose a Slack account we are connected to then we can set up what the action will do. This next part is very specific to the app you are connecting with. Once we have setup our action we can click continue and then we can test the action.
If we click 'Test & Continue' we will receive a message in our slack channel and the zap is now ready to be made live.
Turn your Zap on and it's now live and linked waiting for a trigger from Intelligo when we add a user.
Zapier is a very powerful tool and can do many more advanced actions than what we have demonstrated here, if you would like to learn more, they have their own help articles which can be found here.
